@lovelife: It worked whenever I needed it! Eventually, my mind learned to just turn off and I was able to go back to falling asleep on my own. But there are a few nights here and there where my mind continues to race.

I am the same way! I fall asleep just fine but I will wake up in the middle of the night for no reason and have trouble falling back asleep. It sucks!

I've tried some natural sleep aides with no luck.

You may want to talk to your doctor. There are a number of things including anxiety that could cause this and they can get you on the right track.

@Rubies: I was thinking maybe I would try that! I've never taken a sleep aid, did it work well for you? Did it teach your body to sleep at night, or does the good sleep stop after you quit taking the tablet.

I was the same way - my mind was always racing and I couldn't fall into a nice sleep (even though I was exhausted!). What helped me, and I'm not actually recommending it because I'm not sure how good it is, was taking a sleeping-aid tablet of some sort. I just really needed help sleeping.

LO has been sleeping through the night regularly for the last 2 months. I however wake up all the time! 3-4 times a night. I get up and check on her, check the temperature, get a drink..etc. I do this all half asleep, tossing and turning all night... Do to my poor sleep at night, I am exhausted everyday! Any tips?
