I can't tell if he's not sleeping at night because he's teething or if it's because he's sleeping so much during the day. If it's because he's teething, I feel like I should let him sleep during the day...it's a vicious circle!

@c.sassy: he is no ton a schedule, but I'm trying to work towards one

@winniebee: interesting. I was thinking limiting his napping could help. He took a 2.5 hour nap this morning, and would have slept longer if I didn't wake him up. I'll try limiting his naps from now on and see if that helps! Thanks!

@lisa1783: hahah oh geeze.

From what I've read, they say to limit naps to 2 hours each and 4 hours total during the day at 6 months. Sounds like he's not napping more than that, though?

My LO slept over 3.5 hours at daycare yesterday and he was only there for 5 hours! We were basically just paying someone to watch our LO nap. Meanwhile at night he was up every 2.5 hours. I want to reverse things too!

That's the worst! We've gone through that a tiny bit, but it always resolves itself within a day or two. My friend's LO did this, but it was around the 4 month sleep regression. Is your LO on a schedule? It helped her to start a more structured daytime nap routine. After she got into that her nighttime sleep started going back to normal.

LO is 6.5 months and used to sleep 10-12 hours straight at night (bedtime was at 7pm) and then take 4-5 45 minute naps a day. Over the last month or so he has transitioned to taking two 2+ hour naps and either waking up every 2-3 hours at night or not going to sleep until midnight! His night sleep is down to probably only 8-9 hours. I think I liked it better when he was a bad napper and slept great at night! Any tips on how to get his night sleep back on track? His morning wake up time has not changed at all, so maybe he just doesn't need as much sleep?
