hahha! Olivia went through this exact same phase. I'm gonna dig out a picture of the board book she literally ate half of.

I switched her to bath books in the crib and she got over it. I guess the cardboard just felt good on her molars, but, tough luck kiddo!

Look how much she chewed this book!! She wasn't happy when I took another book from her. I left an indestructible and soft book in the crib.

@Mrs. Deer: @Mamaof2: You just reminded me I think we have one of these at home!!

@Pumuckl: We have a couple of those but she has no interest in them anymore. But that is in the car, I could bring in it.

@lawbee11: Seriously! I will take a picture tonight. I was amazed when I looked at this morning.

@Smurfette: What about a cloth book? Like this one: http://amzn.com/B0043D28B4

I'd just make sure there isn't a plastic ring or something attached so she doesn't sleep on that...

@Smurfette: What about a board book? We also have some bath books that M loves. They're not made out of paper so maybe that would work?

R has decided lately that she wants a book in the crib with her. She cries and cries when she doesn't. It is really cute watching her on the monitor sitting in the crib reading, then lays down on top of it and falls asleep.

Problem is that I noticed this morning she is chewing (working on her molars) on the book and I found little pieces of paper in the crib this morning. I have told her that we don't eat books but I guess she isn't listening to Mom on this.

Is there another kind of book that would be better? What else can I do?
