I tried local honey (daily) when I first moved to Texas, and I still ended up getting allergy shots. I am allergic to grass, trees, animals, dust, etc.</p> <p>I've read that you need to be eating local UNFILTERED honey to actually ingest the pollen, which is not always easy to find. I still buy local honey, but more to support local bee keepers than to help with my allergies!</p> <p>For dosing, I'd just give your kid a spoonful daily. I never had an issue with allergies until I moved 3 hours away for college! I truly think eating local honey helped. My mom would make us peanut butter and honey sandwiches.
