But I liked loestrin and didn't notice any side effects. The light/short periods were great and I don't recall experiencing many side effects (no weight gain). I think anytime you start a new pill though, there can be a transition where you feel a little crazy. I do get really moody that time of the month, and I have gained some weight on it also. Buuuut my period is sooo much lighter now than when I was on any other BC also my cramps are a lot better. So all in all I take the moodiness instead of having a really long and heavy period. </p> <p>The only thing is that its pretty expensive.
