I hope that you don't end up with weeks of contractions, but I'm excited to see another October mama progressing toward baby in arms   :goodluck:

For my first I was induced and labored for 24 hours. I ended up with csec. One of the midwives told me usually second falls into pattern of the first. So I was kind of discouraged.

He ended up coming two weeks earlier and from first contraction to him in my arms was like 4 hours. No time even for an epidural bc he came fast and furious.

So you never know :silly:

@FancyGem: I had an elective induction for my second, but my doula mentioned that often second labors have long early phases, but once active labor starts, it's much shorter than the first time. Good luck, and hang in there!

@FancyGem: oh and her first had been a week early so she expected at least that.... nope. I think she was actually born on her due date but it felt a week late.

@FancyGem: my friend had this. Early labor took forever, or I guess prodromal labor? It was like two weeks of contractions doing nothing. Finally got bad and she went to the hospital, they tried to send her home, doula convinced them to have her walk around for half an hour and check again, and she had the baby within the hour! Good luck. It’s so stressful and painful and overwhelming.

Hi,
My first pregnancy was a long and slow labor. I thought that things would be different because this is my second baby. People said that labor is shorter when it's your second. I'm having contractions that are getting closer. They aren't extremely painful yet, but they are consistent and frequent. It has been days. I am getting frustrated because it seems like a repeat of last time. I have barely dilated. Please tell me that I'm not the only one that has dealt with this. :(

For my first pregnancy I had contractions for about 2 weeks before being induced.
