Mine are usually 36-40 days long, and I have had 2 month cycles on several occasions, usually when doing quite a bit of traveling. I've also had stressful periods of time when my cycles would easily go up to 45-50 days. Taking Charge of Your Fertility has a great chapter on understanding how stress, travel, other factors can impact when you body ovulates each month, which then determines the length of that cycle. You should check it out!

My cycles were really long and it turned out i wasn't ovulating. I would be 3-4 weeks late before I'd finally start.

I had the oppsoite problem and my cycles were super short for no reason (20-22 days) and they were worried I wasn't ovulating, but we got pregnant first try so I wouldn't worry about length as long as they think you are Oing!

Mine have always been super irregular--like between 30 and 50 is not unusual. In fact, it's kind of why I am pregnant now--my LMP was May 6 and we conceived around June 11. We were charting and just assumed that we had missed my O date, so we pulled the goalie. But instead...surprise!

Since coming off BCP about 6 months ago mine have been 34-35 days. I *think* I ovulate, but we aren't TTC so I'm not taking any tests or anything.

I'm not sure why mine is so long!

One of my good friends was like this. She tried to go off BCP for a while but her cycles were just so long and unpredictable that she went back on. When she came off BCP to start TTC it was taking forever for her to get her period again so she went to see the doc... turns out she got preggers on the first try! So you certainly can get pregnant without intervention even with really long cycles.

This is my fourth cycle off bc and my cycles have gotten longer with each cycle. The were 29, 32 and i am just coming off of a 39 day cycle, for no apparent reason. Last cycle was mt first cycle ttc and i think the stress of it was what made me ovulate late. Im hoping this cycle is shorter... Stress really has such an effect on your body.

My cycles were 2-3 months for almost a year, then magically went down to about 30 days right before TTC. No idea why. Got pregnant on the third cycle.

I was like this before I went on BC. My cycles ranged anywhere from 5-9 weeks, with 11 weeks being the longest. I told my doctor about it and she didn't seem concerned, she just said that stress and any number of factors could effect it. It's been about 2 years on BC and I'm about to stop (tomorrow is my last pill!) to start TTC, so I have no idea how whack my cycle will be now.

I am on Day 47 of my cycle. Not pregnant. No PCOS. Just had blood work done, it's all normal. I'm not really stressed either. My doctor prescribed Provera to induce my period and hopefully get back on track. My last cycle was 48 days (before that, 38, 35, and 21, all since I went off BC in January).

Anyway, just wondering if there are any other long cycle gals out there, with no real reason behind the cause. How long is your cycle?
