Well update- she woke herself up after a little over three overs. Put her to bed at the later end of normal time, no problems falling asleep and she slept until 7! Woohoo! I guess that last time was a fluke (I hope).

If DD slept around 2 hours (I wake her after 2 hrs), she usually won't be sleepy enough at bed time and we will end up spending ages trying to get her to fall asleep, but once asleep she is usually fine and but doesn't sleep long enough since she just wakes up at the same time in the morning. Now I'm gonna seriously consider waking her after 1.5 hour naps just cuz it's such a pain to get her to fall asleep.

Yep. I used to wake him after 2.5-3 hours (when he was on 2 naps) bc otherwise he wouldn't sleep at night.

Have you noticed an extra long nap wreaking havoc on nighttime sleep?

The other day C had a super long nap, like 3.5 hours and we had to wake her up because it was getting so late. We put her down for bed a little later than usual, but not by that much, and she fell asleep just fine. A few hours later she woke up screaming and it took over 3 hours to get her back to sleep. It was awful. I wondered if the super long nap was related-- but of course, it could be anything!

She is currently taking a super long nap and I'm going to have to wake her soon.... afraid of a repeat performance. Mama needs more than 4 hours of sleep at night, kiddo!
