My August baby wore light cotton long sleeve sleepers- she was inside in the AC most of the time, and they were light enough that she didn't overheat when we were outside.

My July daughter was in long sleeve sleepers until the following spring/summer (until around a year old). Daytime was long sleeve onesies for the very first weeks unless we went outdoors and it was hot.

I had an April baby and she wore sleepers the first month and we didn't use them again until late October. She wore short sleeve onesies and was swaddled (and then sleep sack). If anything, I'd maybe use long-sleeve onesies (if they're in a sleep sack with arms out) but I think the footed sleepers would be too much. But she seemed overheated in footed sleepers + swaddle or sack.

During the day she never wore pants or sleepers. Too hot! I had some footed sleepers because everyone said you needed them. Complete waste of $$ for me other than her NB and 9mo sizes.

DS was a June 30 baby and he wore short sleeve onesies with pants and socks during the day and longsleeve sleepers at night. He just seemed so little and I didn't like his skinny newborn legs sticking out!

It was over 100 degrees when DS was born but our AC was blasting all the time and he was under 7lbs so he did and continues to live in footed zip up longsleeve cotton sleepers.

M was a hot NC baby and she lived in long sleeve, footed sleepers. They will be just fine for her.

You can get really thin light weight long sleeved sleepers at Target. I think they are Gerber brand, sold in 2 or 3 packs and pretty cheap. I used those all summer and they were perfect. They do run a bit small if you get them.

Eh we were the odd ones and had a March baby who wasnt in a footed sleeper ever until he was no longer swaddled, and then we switched to fleece sleepers for bedtime only. The swaddle just made him way too hot. We used long sleeved onesies and pants in march (pants off when swaddled) and by may had switched to short sleeved onesies and no pants or short sleeved rompers. I personally hate sleepers. I think they are a PITA for diaper checks and changes and much prefer a onesie. But i know I am in the minority on HB. For a summer baby though, I feel like it would be unbearable to wear a sleeper all day, unless you never leave the house and are constantly in ac. I live in the south though with 90-100 degree summers.

With LO, we dressed him in a kimono top, diaper, and swaddle as an August newborn. I don't know what we're going to do with his brother expected in early June. I have a bunch of newborn sleepers I never used. They might get some use.

definitely sleeves, but mine was born in may so it just a sleeved top and diapers. we did use a swaddle though, which kept LO plenty warm (but not hot).

I will always use jammies with sleeves, until babe can use blankets. I don't think I'd be comfortable without sleeves.

I had an August baby. It was 100 degrees in our non air conditioned apartment. She wore a diaper and scratch mitts during the day, but still wore a long sleeve cotton sleeper at night.

My LO was born in August and wore them at night when she slept in the bed with me. Otherwise, just a swaddle blanket and onesie... but our summers are super hot. Like 100+ degrees. During the day she just wore short sleeve onsie and pants or creepers.

Our March baby wore footed sleepers long sleeved to sleep year-round in SoCal, until she started walking. She was always fine. If it were too hot, we'd have to A/C on and still wanted her arms and legs covered.

Ok, this is a stupid question, but my DD#1 was born in December and wore long sleeve footed sleepers around the clock for the first 6 months or so of life.

DD#2 is due June 1 (ok, so technically late Spring). Will long sleeve sleepers be ok for her too? At least for night? I'm sure if we are outside, she will need something cooler; however, I'm unsure if she'd need sleeves inside with the AC?

Tea Collection has cute sleepers for $12.71 (after coupon) and I kinda want to get one or two! http://www.teacollection.com/product/4f12703/baby-girl-romper-kleiner-vogel-footed-romper.html#chalk
