I'm trying to decide if I want to sign up for LTD through work and I can't make sense of this. We have the choice of 50% coverage or 65% coverage. From our enrollment guide: </p> <p>65% of the first $53,846 of your pre-disability earnings, reduced for other disability income you may receive.<br /> or<br /> 50% of the first $70,000 of pre-disability earnings,reduced for other disability income you may receive.</p> <p>The maximum monthly benefit is $35,000 and the minimum monthly benefit is $100. Benefits begin after<br /> you have been continuously disabled for 180 days. </p> <p>I don't understand because my salary is more then those numbers and those amounts both come out to 35,000 so obviously I'm missing something. </p>
