Occasionally I'll have a cycle that is much longer than others. There are a ton of factors that could delay a cycle: stress, cold medications, illness, all sorts of things. Hopefully your cycle straightens itself out soon!

I'm experiencing this right now. I haven't started charting yet, just using an app to track my cycles in a very basic way. I'm on CD 41... no AF signs! I've tested a number of times and all have come back negative, so this is a little frustrating for me. I have no idea why my cycles are getting longer all of a sudden!

Hmm, well that's strange if your temps have dropped and stayed low but no AF.

Maybe an anovulatory cycle? I think after a while people get a provera prescription to bring on AF.

@Aria: I would keep waiting for AF and keep testing for maybe another week? But it doesn't hurt to call your doc up and see what he/she thinks!

It is possible that you ovulated later than you normally do. It's normal to have a wonky cycle every now and then! If you do not see AF or a BFP in a few weeks, I suggest calling your doctor.

@Chastenet: My temps were all over the place this cycle since I wasn't always able to time it consistently, so I'm not totally sure when I ovulated. My temps were generally higher until cd29, and then they dropped low and they've stayed low since.

Are your temps still up? When did you ovulate this cycle? Sometimes ovulation is delayed due to sickness, stress or various other reasons. Your luteal phase however should remain very consistent from cycle to cycle.

@Aria: Why would you say you're definitely not pregnant? I know many people have been saying they get BFPs late, if you tested...

I went off BC back in June, and since then I've been keeping track of the length of my cycles with FF, and just started temping the last two months. Since going off BC, all my cycles have been 30-35 days (though usually closer to 30). The only exception was the first month off BC, and that was 40 days. Prior to that, I don't know the exact length of my cycles, but I always got a period every month.

Well now I'm on cd 42, and there have been none of my usual AF warning signs. I'm definitely not pregnant, and I'm confused about what's going on. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is there a point at which I should go see a doctor?

Thanks for your help!
