I was pregnant for a lot of it and then got to have my lo. We bought what will hopefully be our forever home. I've done this a couple times. Once, for years in advanced, and recently just in one year intervals. </p> <p>Got my letter yesterday which outlined my goals for the year. Some things I did not expect at all: getting our first dog, and then when she (very surprisingly, after having her for 2 weeks) had 6 puppies. Some of my goals definitely didn't come true: getting baseboards for our house; getting a full time job. My husband and I had some great times together as a couple, had some nice vacations, and work went really well for me. We started TTC in January but then had a miscarriage in May, which was hard and then TTC again after that was really emotional for me. But, we got pregnant again and everything's going well, so the last part of 2011 was pretty great. We found out we were pregnant about 6 days before our second wedding anniversary :) My beautiful godson was born and I got to hold him twice this year! (my best friend and I live in different states). </p> <p>The not so good part was that it was a very trying year for my family because of my younger brother's failing kidneys. He's 25 and on dialysis :( I was going to be a donor but after all the testing I, along with my husband and family, had to make the tough decision not to donate due to an elevated risk for me during surgery. We started trying for a baby soon after.</p> <p>2012 is going to be better.
