Wonderful, have a great time! And definitely get the pie of the day at Peels... we used to live a block away, and I would often stop by the bakery counter just for a slice of pie to go!

Thank you again for all the tips! I tried to get a reservation at Sarabeth's but they didn't have anything available. After emailing the whole crew, the final verdict was... Peels! The build-a-biscuit menu option at Peels looks amazing. Totally throwing the diet out the window for those biscuits tomorrow.

One other nice thing about Sarabeth's is that you can make a reservation - essential for brunch with babies (or brunch generally, if you don't like to wait an hour for a brunch table like me)...

Agree, I feel like I always see babies at brunch no matter where I am :-)
I second The Smith and Sarabeths. Those are both places I've taken my young nephews when they've visited.

LOVE Sarabeth's! Their biscuits are to die for! Another place that is quite spacious, also in Tribeca, is Bread. The food is good, not amazing, but it's a great space to bring kids!

@QueensBee: I suggest Tribeca. It's surprisingly pretty baby-friendly and not as crowded as the other areas you mentioned on Sundays.

I second @Beehive:'s Sarabeth's suggestion.

Landmarc @ Columbus Circle comes to mind because it's stroller/baby/kid friendly, and definitely nice for adults too. They have a kids menu. On most Sundays, you can see strollers parked outside the resto, but if you absolutely need to bring a stroller up to a table, it can be accommodated depending on time and the crowd. Earlier, the better. They may also take ressies for a large group, so call first.

It's also nice since the it's in the TWC shopping center, so you'll be indoors, even if outside the restaurant. The kids can run around a little and gaze at the holiday stars changing colors. Parents can get coffee and pastries at Bouchon afterwards too... And Central Park/Heckscher Playground is across the street!

It's not in the neighborhoods you mentioned, and probably a bit closer to Queens than BK, but at least a few major subway lines get to it, and there's not too much walking involved from the stop.

If I think of more places, I'll let you know.

ETA: sorry, re-read original post and see that you have babies in tow, not toddler/kids... but my rec still stands. We went there many times with a baby! Also, they have a TriBeCa location, but I have never been. I'm sure it's baby-friendly too, but I bet the UWS is more (since it's so spacious!).

Also, in general, I have never really been to a non-baby friendly resto in NYC, especially at brunch! We just always made sure to bring an umbrella stroller or just babywear in case of small spaces/large crowds, and we generally tried to dine earlier in the morning.

@QueensBee: aw...sorry it's not the west side---we went to Bakeshop in the west village last Sunday and there were three other babies there!

I've used this blog before to find baby friendly places to eat.http://brunchwithmybaby.com/new-york/

I haven't been in a long time but Spring Street Natural is pretty casual and big. It's usually fairly loud so I don't think a shriek here or there would be a problem.

Hi, NYC Bees!

DH and I are meeting another couple for brunch on Sunday. We are bring DS, who is 7 months old. They are coming from Brooklyn and we are coming from Queens, so we'd like to meet somewhere in the middle, basically downtown Manhattan (Soho, Chelsea, LES). Do you have any recs for a yummy spot that's a bit nicer than a diner but also has space to store a stroller? A place where they won't give us a dirty look if DS lets out a shriek?

We haven't been out to brunch since the weather cooled off and feel like we don't know of any good options now that outdoor dining is limited.

We are open to all kinds of food!

TIA!!
