They're more expensive, however. He said it is only certain light bulbs that will work with the dimmer, I guess some of the newer light bulbs don't work but the more classic standard kinds do. We've used it every night since birth. We dim the bedside lamp to read, then turn it off to snuggle for a few minutes before he goes into the crib.
