@sunny: Random, but coming back to this today because I AM FINALLY LEARNING how to use our Rx100 III and it is so amazing. I mean, really really amazing.

I was wrong before--I was totally unaware that you can change all kinds of settings to make the autofocus faster. It's an amazing camera. Did you ever make a decision?

@sunny: Well, the continuous shutter can help with action shots, BUT there is definite lag when you stop shooting. So then you have to wait, say...5-6 seconds for those shots to load in the camera before you can continue shooting. It's almost best to keep your finger on the shutter button and take way more pictures than you need instead of stopping and then waiting to start again.

I've so far only used it for my monthly pictures though, so I'm totally not an expert on it's features.

@littlejoy: thanks but my Canon S95 is what I am annoyed with and am looking to replace!

@Anagram: do you find that the auto focus is fast enough for getting pictures of your toddler?

We have the rx100 III, but we happened to get it right before I had LO2, and we really haven't had time to play around with it and learn to use it properly. It seems to have some cool features and I like the continuous shutter option.

@sunny: I only shoot with prime lenses. Use your legs to zoom :) if @littlejoy is selling her camera though that may be a good route/deal I know she treats her gear awesome.

I'm selling a Canon s100, if those specs interest you. I'm a professional photographer, and bought the s100 when I was pregnant to have an everyday point and shoot. I never use it (I usually just default to my DSLRs), so it's in great condition (still have original packaging). If you're interested, wall me. I can give more info. :)

@erinpye: I'll wall you!

@youboots: do you typically shoot with prime lenses on your SLR? That's my only hesitation. I am not usually shooting with a prime lens and I don't know if I would miss having the ability to zoom.

I'm finding myself increasingly frustrated with my Canon S95 which I've had for a few years. It takes great pictures when the subjects can stay still, but with a toddler, I feel like I miss a lot because the autofocus is slow and there's shutter lag.

I'm looking for a new point & shoot which can shoot RAW and can autofocus super fast and has minimal shutter lag. Basically I want my Canon 7D dSLR in a smaller package!

Any recommendations?

Here's my contenders, so if you have any experience, I'd love to hear the pros & cons!

Fujifilm X100T
Sony RX100 III or IV
Olympus E-PL7
Olympus E-M5
Panasonic Lumix LX100
