I second the rec for the Duralex glasses...they're tempered so that if they break, they crumble as opposed to break into shards. We have a set and my son handles them just fine, he uses the tiny juice cup size, because they're on the heavy side.

@autumnlove: yeah it's definitely not good for yogurt and stuff like that because the dividers aren't completely sealed on the bottom, so stuff can leak between the dividers. But I use silicone cups to deal with that. The best part is being able to throw it in the dishwasher and not feel bad about it. The worst part is you can't nuke it :-(

ETA I think planetbox is a better option for stainless steel bento, but it's pretty big, I think.

For stainless bento, we have a LunchBot, which also has a stainless lid option. It's awesome and good for toddlers (a little small).

Yes! We were using the safe 2 sippee for a while but te straw and top were plastic even though the bottle itself was steel! Well I just bought the think baby steel bottle and they sell a straw cup top. The top is plastic but the straw itself is silicone so th straw isn't hanging out inside the water or beverage and there is only minimal contact with plastic.

We also use the Life Factory sippy bottles, especially when we're out of the house.

I ordered these small glass cups last week for mealtimes at home and he's learning how to handle them pretty quickly:

My LO uses regular cups now, but for my next kiddo, I'm planning on buying stainless steel sippy cups like this one: http://mightynest.com/shop/natural-baby/sippy-cups/stainless-steel-sippy-cupbottle-11-oz

We have a stainless steel bento box that we bought in Korea w/six compartments. I can't find anything online that looks like it, but something like this would be good: http://www.amazon.com/LunchBots-Stainless-Steel-Container-Green/dp/B006T5BLRQ/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1404349659&sr=8-19&keywords=stainless+steel+bento+box+for+kids

We've been trying to cut plastics and cans out, and it's definitely not easy! Plastics and cans are everywhere. We use glass for storage and serving food, and try not to eat any canned foods.

We use this at home. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008GHA7WK?cache=81839cfa2e62701a4708afc69c12a442&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1404349363&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1 It works with a small canning jar.

For on the go we use a stainless steel thermos.

We are trying to phase out the rest of the plastics in our life and I'm trying to find some good alternatives for baby products.

Has anyone found a decent sippy-cup alternative? Vi hasn't mastered a regular cup yet but I don't want her constantly drinking out of plastic ones either...

Also, any recommendations for a good stainless bento box?
