@MamaJ: I get upset with them, and tell them that I'm the owner of the house. They apologize like crazy and know they can't make the sale.

I'm 28 but a lot of the time people think I'm in my early twenties. To make matters worse, I recently went back to college. I'm also pregnant with my first. I feel like wearing a sign that says "I'm 28 and married!".

For the most part, I just try to ignore people's opinions.

I'm just going to assume that when I'm pregnant or out with a LO I'll be too happy or too exhausted to notice the looks I'm getting! Haha

I'm 23, almost 24, and I look really young. I'm used to it, but I am a bit nervous for when LO gets here, but honestly, I try not to care what people think.

I'm sure I may have gotten looks so far being pregnant, but I haven't noticed.

I'm 26 but still get mistaken for a teenager. I was married at 23, had LO at 24, and now pregnant with my second. When I answer the door to my house, people ask me for my parents. Ugh. I have gotten carded at the mall where you have to be 18+ to shop on Friday and Saturday evenings. Casinos hunt me down as soon as I enter the door. I usually just shrug it off. I act beyond my age, and most of my older friends forget that I'm 3-5 years younger than them.

I'm 30 and some people think I'm barely out of college. With so many years under my belt all I say to people is "I'm older than you think" and move the conversation along.

When it comes to a strangers just roll with the punches.

I've always looked pretty young for my age, and I still get funny looks when I'm out with DD.

Funny thing is, I seem to get the most age-related comments from health professionals. During an ultrasound for DD the tech kept commenting that I was too young to have a baby even though I insisted that I wasn't. When I finally told her my age (27 at the time) she just said, "Oh, you're not young." :P

At my NT scan for this LO, the Dr. was telling me the results of the combined genetic testing and said, "We just need to add in your age, but since you're really young, everything looks good!" So I was like, "Okay, I'm 28." And she goes, "Oh, well that's still young..." LOL

I'm not that young but I got several comments about being too young to get married already... I was 28 when we got engaged, 29 when we got married. Not exactly too young by many standards.

But now that I'm pregnant, haven't gotten a word. I either aged a lot in the last 3 years or people figure it's too late to warn me now?

If you feel uncomfortable you can certainly by a stand in wedding ring if your fingers swell. I even feel funny not wearing any ring, even though I'm "old enough" to have a baby now.

I'm 24 and get told I look younger all the time. A couple weeks ago I went to play putt putt with my family. The girl at register asked me how old I was because she thought I qualified for the 12 and under category. *rolls eyes* I know I don't look that young!

I'm sure I'll get strange looks once I'm pregnant, especially if I swell and my wedding rings won't fit. I'm not sure how I will feel about it though.

I'm 25 and people think I'm in high school. I got a few weird looks while pregnant especially when my rings didn't fit but no one said anything. Once at trader joes with DS some lady said to him " I bet everyone thinks your mom is your sister! She looks so young!" Other than that I've had no comments. And actually when I have DS with me I have stopped getting carded when I buy wine or something at the store. I guess babies age you? Haha.

I don't think you are being silly. Honestly those are the only issues I've encountered. Who knows what is going through their heads though!

This topic has come up a lot in my group of friends lately, I'm curious to hear about other peoples' experiences.

I'm 25 years old, but I definitely look younger than my age. I get anywhere from 18-22ish. I worry about the looks and the judgment that I'll get when I'm pregnant, especially since I've already had a couple of not-so-nice comments about my engagement ring (complete strangers think it's alright to tell me I'm too young to get married, or ask me if my parents are OK with my decision... seriously?! MYOB.)

Anyway, I don't imagine that I'll age all that much in the next year or so, and even though I act older than my age (so I'm told), I'm probably going to look like a pregnant teenager to most people. I realize that it doesn't matter what other people think of me, but it still makes me uncomfortable knowing that I'm silently being judged.

Has anyone else been in this boat? Any words of wisdom? You don't need to tell me that I'm being silly, I can see that all on my own... I wish I could just get over it!
