@kes18: oh 11 pm would get me. He did that a few times but lately has been down for the night at 7, up crying but asleep at 9 or 10 and then up to eat at like 2 or 3 and then partying for a few hours. I tried using the wake up at nine as a dream feed but it doesn't really seem to help. Good luck with the room transition! We have a bed in our nursery so at least I can lie down while he parties all night.

This, too, shall pass. This, too, shall pass. This, too, shall pass.

(It remains unclear whether I'm saying this to you about your sleep or me about my life, but ya know :silly: )

In all seriousness, crappy sleep sucks. We were there a while ago but are not there currently. I suspect we will be back there eventually. No answers, just hugs. And virtual coffee!

Mine is 5 months in a few days and while she used to be a great sleeper, she has been on and off terrible since about 3/3.5 months :( She does still give us a 6 hour stretch from 8pm-2 (usually) but after that she sometimes wakes up every hour. Sometimes she even is extra naughty and wakes up at 11pm!!! But I don't feed her at 11pm, just rock and put her back to bed. Waking up at 3 times a night without staying awake would be a good night for us.

I don't have any advice..but sometimes mine just wakes up at 5 am to chatter to herself for an hour. So loud that it keeps me awake. She's not crying so I want to leave her but she's in our room and keeps me up. UGH.

Finally moving her to her own room next week...so we will see how it goes. It will be nice to turn down the monitor so I won't hear her chattering but maybe will be annoying to have to bring her between rooms because she's waking up frequently enough that I BF her in bed and pretty much doze and then put her back in her crib when I wake up.

We've been having crappy sleep off and on with my five month old since he learned to roll over at about 3.5 months. He was sleeping through the night, more or less, prior to that but developmental milestones and I guess the four month regression have led to unpredictable sleep since then.

We've definitely had some really good nights where he sleeps a long stretch (8-10 hours) so I know all is not lost.

The past few nights, though, he's gone back to having really long MOTN wakeups. Like 2-3 hours. Last night he was up at 2:40 to nurse, fell asleep but couldn't settle three times until 4 when my husband took over. Slept from 4:30-6. Slept from 6:30 to 7:30. Night before last he was just awake from 3-5:30.

We had been at a point where he was up twice a night to eat but then went right back to sleep and I like that much better.

He is working on some big gross motor stuff, so you know, this too shall pass, but I think I'm in need of any advice, experience or commiseration you can offer!
