@SeptMomma12: we went through this in July. Doctor suspected it was viral as well and it had run its course after about 2 weeks. It sucks - it's like having a newborn again! Nothing really helped, we just kept the fluids going and avoided foods that could exasperate the whole situation!

I ended up getting it as well- gross!

@wheres_c: That makes me feel so much better, thanks! Did you change your LO's diet at all or just wait it out? We are traveling this weekend and it's going to be a lot harder maintaining a strict BRAT diet.

We just went through this and got the same answer from the doc. We're about 2 weeks past the onset and it's finally starting to firm up.

@Kemma: He's probably due for his 2 year molars (just turned 2 in Sept) but I haven't noticed any other symptoms like drooling. Do you think that could cause it?

Thanks ladies! I am going to look for probiotics today.

@SeptMomma12: I second @hilsy85: We use Udo's Choice but I would use whatever my local store had for infant/toddler. It's a powder you mix in water/milk for them to drink.

This happens to DS when he has too much fruit in his diet. Think peaches and blueberries

@MrsRcCar: We have a 2 hour plane ride this weekend, so I am definitely going to ask the doctor about that! Normally we have to limit his bananas because he tends to be more constipated, but I am really pushing them right now.

@hilsy85: What kind do you use? We've never tried probiotics.

We have this problem with N from time to time. Our pedi gave us his dosage for Imodium. We only use it in extreme emergencies. Perhaps you could ask your doctor about it. Otherwise we just keep him hydrated and he loves bananas so that helps him bind up a little.

LO (just turned 2) has had frequent loose poops for a week now. Not exactly diarrhea but much looser than normal for him. And anywhere from 6-8 times a day! It's ridiculous. Doctor says it's probably viral and to avoid all dairy and greasy/spicy food until he's better. Basically stick to the BRAT diet. We've been doing that for 3 days but haven't seen any improvement - he pooped 6 times today! Anyone else have a LO go through this? How long did it take to get back to normal?

His appetite and mood are totally normal. He's begging for the milk and cheese I'm not giving him
