We stick to LOs bedtime routines. We're usuallt more lenient with the nap times which is why we need to stick to the bedtime timing.

My son has shown that he is very adaptable. So we just go with the flow. So, this weekend (us Olympic trials gymnastics) he went to sleep between 8 and 10 every night. He took one nap. And did well for us. But not all babies are like that. So if your baby needs the schedule of is fussy, etc. you put her down at your friends on time.

We stick to our usual schedule and just go to bed early ourselves. It is tiring traveling with kids anyway. I wouldn't leave her with a babysitter that I just met.

I would probably try to stretch her until 8!

Stick to the schedule, hire a babysitter and go out! I have one if you need one...

We try to stick to our usual bedtime, but LO always ends up sleeping 30mins-an hour later than usual. Today she fell asleep a few minutes before 8!
She also woke up at 8:30 this morning though, and had a later than usual nap in the car. :T Traveling with a baby is tough!

ooh, sounds fun! if I were you, I'd stretch her to about 7:30 or 8pm during the vacation and try to get her to nap as much as possible through the day while you're out and about in the stroller, on the beach, etc. You can always go back to normal schedules when you get back home.

If you're on vacation with LO, what do you do when LO goes to bed? Do you stick to your strict bedtime routine and have your day "end" then? Or, do you try to push back bedtime so that you can do more stuff?

Hubs will be crazy busy with work this month and has encouraged me to take LO on a vacation with my friend (NYC? All-inclusive?). But, LO goes to bed between 6-6:30pm and I'm wondering what the heck I would do in a hotel room from 6:30pm until the next morning!
