For me, 6:45am would have been her official wakeup time and 8:15am would be considered as her first nap. But as @stiffaknee said, it depends what your LO's "normal" is. For us, anything after 6am was considered normal.

If she wakes up before 7:00, I'll feed her and put her back down immediately...Yesterday she woke up at 5:45 (which is not like her, but I attributed it to us having just gotten home from a week long trip...and our flight got in almost 2 hours after her bedtime), so I gave her a bottle and she went immediately back to sleep and slept until 10:30.

I think it just depends on what your baby's "normal" is-Caroline normally sleeps until 8:00-8:30, so anything too early and I know she won't be fully rested.

LO goes to sleep between 7:45 and 8:15pm. In the past couple of weeks, she had been waking up at 5:45am (at the latest), which meant that she would fall back asleep as soon as i fed her. She would then sleep until 8:30am (at the latest).

Today she woke up at 6:45am (hooray!!!) so i was confused as to whether i should put her back to sleep after the feeding or have it be her official wakeup time. She was really cranky within an hour, so she ended up going down for a nap at 8:15am.

Should i have put her back down to sleep (which would've meant maybe an extra 45-60 minutes of sleep for her) or was i okay to start her day? She naps quite a bit during the day so i'm not concerned if she doesn't get a full 12 hours of sleep at night.

Do you have a cutoff time that determines whether LO starts the day or goes back to sleep?
