Magnetic vent covers! We have them in our bedroom because our HVAC is really poorly balanced. It helps considerably.

I keep the thermostat set to 65, so the whole house is somewhat chilly (just a personal preference). I think J's room stays right around that temp, maybe a little lower - and I just dress him in an undershirt, socks, fleecy footed jammies, and a fleecy Halo sleep sack. He sleeps like a rock! ETA: I would tape something over the vent and keep her room chilly, as long as it's not super cold. I think babies sleep better like that.

We open our LO'S door when we go to bed. I don't think the temp difference is that vast for us but it's still pretty significant even with her box fan on. Just opening the door helps a ton.

Yes!! The baby monitor reads 80 in N's room when it's 66 downstairs. My room has vaulted ceilings so it reads 70. We could set the downstairs at 60 and use the fireplace or get ceiling fans.

We have a similar problem, but C's room is just always the coldest, summer and winter. Summer it's fine- Dh and I just sleep in a slightly warmer room than we would otherwise. But we have to have the whole condo pretty warm to make her room warm at all. Not sure what to do.

We have the same problem. I don't know how old your LO is (if she can get out of bed this might not work). But we turn on a space heater when he goes down, and then turn off the heater and open the door when we go to bed.

K's room is small and right next the fan/heater. If we turn on the heater (or A/C) it gets immediately too hot or too cold. Even though I close down the vents as much as I can.

Now the temps are dropping at night, if I turn on the heater even just ONE degree higher than what the thermostat reads the house at, her room temp jumps up 8 degrees!

Anyone else deal with an issue like this? Last year we had space heaters in the living room and our room, but now she likes to get into things and play with knobs/buttons, I feel like they're dangerous to leave out.

I feel like my options are :

1. Leave her room door open (after we go to sleep, so it's dark and quiet, because she's a very light sleeper).

or

2. Tape something over her vent? But her room also gets really cold without the heat on at night.

Suggestions?
