@Meggo5: My supply has remained steady (but was only ever enough for 50% of her intake) so far, so it is hard for me to come to grips with the idea of intentionally sabotaging my supply when I worked so hard all this time to give her every drop that I make. But knowing that I was able to start dropping sessions once she was older kept me going so long in the beginning of all of this.

It is hard emotionally for me, but she could care less either way. She is happy with a bottle of BM or formula any time. We nurse once in the mornings before work but it just barely takes the edge off of my fullness and keeps her happy enough to get her to daycare when they give her breakfast shortly after her arrival. She won't nurse any other time of the day, so even on weekends I stay on my same schedule of nursing once in the morning and pumping the rest of the day. Weekends are harder than being at work in that regard!

I don't know. It is hard!

@MsLipGloss: Thank you for sharing your experience! I have a feeling we might head in this direction, although I am not 100% sure yet. It's just hard to stress over how many bottles I am pumping at work, all while stressing over the amount of time I am taking away from my work day.

Ahhh... the decisions we have to make as mommies!

@highwire: It's just gotten to hard. I don't see the "return" that I used to and now that I am a bit comfier with formula, I am not sure it's worth it to beat myself up over this.

@highwire: There are moments when I feel conflicted, too, but the reality is that LO has already gotten the lion's share of the benefits from BM at this point, and it has always been a major stressor for me, and not to mention a serious time commitment at work. And with my supply issues, it just doesn't make sense to keep going (pumping at work).

Yep! I WOH full time as well. I have been gradually day weaning LO for about 2 months now (LO just turned 10 months) and gradually dropped from 3 pumping sessions at work a day down to 1. I still nurse LO at night and in the mornings , and probably will until around 12 months (if she will have me!). I have always struggled with supply, and I am so relieved to be moving on from the pump (soon!).

Listening in! Mine is just barely younger than yours and I'm so conflicted about quitting pumping at work.

LO is 8 months now and I WOHM full time. When he is with his babysitter, he tends to take about 5 bottles. I have been supplementing him since about 4 months old since I was never able to pump a ton at work and he now usually gets 3 bottle of breastmilk and 2 of formula.

The problem is... I am losing steam with pumping at work. My output is not as much as I would like it to be and I am looking for some advice.

Has anyone continued to nurse in the morning and at night but switched to FF during the workday?
