@MusicaV: My period hasn't come back yet, but I keep expecting it to since I've had menstrual-like cramps for the past couple days. I also think she may be teething on the top, so that could be the case as well. Thanks for the advice! I'll try putting her to the breast more frequently. I really don't want to have to pump after each nursing session like I had to do initially to get my supply up...

Have you gotten your period back? My supply always dips 3-5 days before the start of my period. I always take some combination of brewers yeast, fenugreek, and oatmeal. The one time I really worried about it was two months ago when LO had fewer wet diapers.

I've also heard of babies that get fussy and latch on and off during nursing when they are teething. Does she have any teeth coming in?

As your baby gets older, your breasts won't feel as full. If you think you're supply is dropping, I would take supplements and nurse her as often as you can, especially before she eats solids - it will tell your body to make more milk. Good luck!

How do you know if you are losing your supply? DD is almost 8 months and does not seem as satisfied after she feeds, trying to latch back on even when I feel like I'm empty. She is napping less and lately is just generally a little cranky pants throughout the day :) I don't feel full in between feedings, and while I know that pumping is not a reliable measure, when I pump before bed it is much less than usual. DD is a big girl (99% height, 90% weight) and she is moving like crazy. She is also loving solids, though I want to make sure she is getting most of her nutrition from breastmilk.

I struggled with major supply issues for the first couple months and never would have thought that I would make it this far! I want to breastfeed at least to 1 year if I can, so how do you know if you're losing your supply and what do you do about it?
