No I've never spent more than $50 on a pair of shoes. I was willing to spend around $100 for my wedding shows but found them on sale for $49 so I guess thats always gonna be my shoe budget

I don't own a pair but always look longingly at them when I pass by someone wearing them or if I see them in a window. But, it's something I would never buy for myself.

Maybe one day but then again I'd rather use the money elsewhere. I cheap when it comes to buying shoes. Because I realized I wear flats majority of the time. (easier when a mom) maybe when the kids are older ill wear heels again.

I wanted a pair for our wedding, but the heels were so high that I figured there was no way I would ever be able to wear them for more than a few hours. So I splurged on a pair of Manolos instead--super comfy! I now have 3 pairs, and if they don't fit post baby, I will cry, and then take them the shoe repair store to be stretched!

I dont own any yet but I would love to and plan to buy a pair with my bonus next year. I have 3 classic splurge items that I had wanted to buy before we TTC: classic black patent louboutins, a LV purse and a burberry trench coat. These would by far be the most expensive items in my wardrobe but they are also timeless pieces. I think the rain coat will get the ax since we bumped our timeline up.

So I guess I agree on both fronts. I would spend the money now but only on a timeless piece (nothing too trendy that may go out) but also I know when I have LO's I wont spend the money which is why I want to do it now!

My usual limit on shoes is $100 (unless they are tall boots or something which generally costs more just because of more material) an my normal purses are coach from the outlets so $200-300.

I own 3 pairs of Loubs, but they are classic styles and I have had them for years and they are my go-to wedding/special occasion shoes. I generally tend to spend a fair amount on shoes but I don't own as many pairs as most girls. I go for quality over quantity.

Also, I paid well under $1K for each pair of Louboutin's...have prices gone up?! I haven't been shopping for heels since pregnancy!

i could never justify a purchase like that, especially since i don't wear heels all that much anyway. i like wearing flats and i'm all about comfort. but i also don't like going low low end on shoes either unless they're good quality that just happened to be on sale or found at an outlet. that's because i've done that in the past, and those shoes only ended up being worn only 1-2 times and tore up my feet. i tend to stay within the $80-200 range. in my mind i divide up the cost with how many times i wear the shoe, sooo if i wear the shoe daily but it cost $200 it's totally a steal in my book! versus a $20 pair that was worn once. that's always how i justify my spending for most things!

I'm "thrifty".... so no, I couldn't spend that on shoes. The most I've spent is $150 on a pair of running shoes because I do boot camps and/or run 15-20 miles per week and I wanted to make sure I had the right support. If I'm going to wear heels that I could break my ankle in, I'd rather not spend more than $50 :-P

I received Loubs as a gift last year from friends!! (I helped plan and coordinate their wedding) They are black platform 3" pumps, and even though not very high and fairly "practical", they are SUPER UNcomfortable. I've worn them 2 or 3x and only when I know I don't have to walk/stand long.

I love that I finally have a pair of Loubs which I have always lusted after, but sad that they are so painful, haha.

I don't own a pair of Loubs, but I have a pair of Fryes that were over $500. The thing about having nice things is that I own less of them. So I may only have a few purses, but they are very nice ones. Same for shoes. I own two pairs of boots, period. I don't wear heels, but after having numerous toe surgeries, I don't mind spending money on comfy and high quality shoes. Some people have that kind of money to spend, no biggie

No, I don't own any. I don't wear high heels very often and the ones I do have are in the $25-50 range that I bought from DSW or Nordstrom Rack.

I don't think I'll ever afford them unless I won the lottery and had that money to spend.

I do think some pairs are really cute when I see them on celebrities.

I also have to add that in my line of work, I don't have to dress up. Since I work in a lab, it's causal clothes for me. So sneakers are my everyday shoe.
