I've been doing a lot of cold vegetables and hummus or my own versions of dips. Hard boiled eggs don't bother me. I've been eating lots of avocados. Cheese slices and sausage....

E will eat frozen peas on the go or cheese cubes...if you feel super ambitious, you can also make your own "paleo" crackers that are nut based or coconut flour based...I've never made them myself, though

Hummus is always a winner in this house! Cheese, fruit, yogurt tubes, slices of turkey or ham, squeeze pouches. So many on-the-go snacks are really carb-heavy!

DD loves craisins, nori, and any fruit. A big protein packed snack she loves is peanut butter and apple sandwiches. Like these:

Oh- but I do sometimes pack cheese sticks or cheese cubes. They travel well and she always eats them.

I'd love ideas too. I purposely go light on carbs at meals because do many easy snacks on the go are carbs (crackers, brown rice cakes, goldfish). If I'm home sometimes we do fruit like banana or apple, but they aren't that easy on the move.

Does anybody have any good suggestions for low-carb snacks? We tend to eat carb heavy at breakfast and lunch (porridge, toast, sandwiches etc) and in the interest of balance I'd love to introduce some different snacks that aren't carb-based (and suitable for pregnant me to eat too!)

Please and thanks :-)
