You just need to know about the doubling :) And I had a fair amount of brown spotting (and sometimes pink) all through my first trimester. I think with DS I was around 50 at around 15 or 16dpo. So if you double evey 48 hours (which is what matters) you be at a pretty similar number. </p> <p>My first pregnancy was a chemical and I had an hcg of 5 at 17dpo. The spotting is scary, but not necessarily a negative thing. The low beta is also, not that bad. I know I've seen other posters share numbers (even lower than yours!), but they go on to have good doublings, which is all that really matters. It's great you are in the care of an RE, as they should support you much better than a typical OB/Gyn would in terms of getting repeat betas &amp; perhaps earlier u/s's when it's time for that.
