A life saver for me after mastitis and a few bouts of clogged ducts was "power pumping". If you own a double electric breast pump, set yourself up in the evening (or when baby is not needing to nurse for at least an hour) and pick a good tv show or movie. Pump during the show and stop during the commercials. This is supposed to simulate a baby cluster feeding thus signaling to your body that you need to produce more milk to satisfy them. Worth a try!

This happened to me too. I just nursed very very often for a few days, (short often nursing sessions like in the beginning) and drank lots of water and within a week or so my supply had mostly recovered.

My supply also took a huge hit after mastitis. I took more milk plus, blessed thistle, and fenugreek, and pumped or nursed every two hrs. It was a couple wks of hard work but I managed to increase my supply to the point I produced more than enough for LO. Good luck!!

On Tuesday I came down with a mild case of mastitis. I caught it fairly early and got on antibiotics right away. But now I'm having problems with low supply. I've always had an abundance of milk, but now my LO doesn't seem satisfied. I'm feeding constantly, pumping after, and taking fenugreek. Is there anything else I can do? LO is 4 months and I would be devastated if I could not longer breast feed.
