@dolphin: ok, so maybe our ceilings are 9'? anyways, DD definitely can't stand up in her bed, but she has no problem being able to climb up the ladder and crawl into her bed or sit up to play on it.

@KayKay: okay good to know! i THINK ours might be 8ft as well. DH was concerned if she stands she'll bump her head but i guess she really shouldn't be standing on the top bunk either.

@dolphin: nope. she is 5, so not like super-big or anything, but she can sit up just fine. i think we have 8ft ceilings in their room? the bigger issue is that she is actually close-ish to the light fixture, but it hasn't been a problem so far. we just can't do a ceiling fan!

@KayKay: Does your LO hit their head when they are on top bunk? That's what DH is afraid of so he wants a lower bunk. We saw the Land of Nod Loft Bed yesterday and liked it a lot! We were thinking of just putting a full mattress on the floor too. We may do that if we can't find anything else...

We have a low loft bed from Bob's furniture for my daughter. There's no frame under it so sometimes well put another twin mattress under and I sure you could put a full under it too. The mattress would just be on the floor. https://www.mybobs.com/chadwick-junior-loft-bed

We had a hard time finding this too (probably could've looked a little more custom/locally, but meh). We ended up just with a regular PBK twin-over-full, and it's fine. Eventually we'll split the beds probably.

What about doing something like the Land of Nod Abridged Loft Bed, but just putting a full underneath? It looks like it doesn't have a frame on the floor to limit you to a twin...(or at least the rolling twin frame is purchased separately)

Our ceiling is kind of low so I'm looking for a low twin over full bunk bed. I know a lot of people love the IKEA Kura bunk bed because it's lower but unfortunately that doesn't come in twin over full. Anyone have any recommendations? TIA!
