Is he getting into sitting on his own or sitting unassisted?

As soon as my LO could get into sitting on his own I lowered the crib to the middle setting. But then I would see him on the monitor grabbing for the rails and standing within a few days so I moved it to the lowest setting right away.

i would definitely move it down a level if he is sitting up. standing comes pretty quickly after that!

i miss the highest level. so easy to get them out. the lowest level you gotta bend all the way over and stretch out your arms.

@littlek: I bet it will come soon! My LO pulls into a sitting position from an incline too, but fortunately when she's flat she can't figure it out!

@Thehistoryofus: omgosh... scary!! Totally moving it down now!!

@LAGS: I think my LO is trying to sit up, when I have him in his bathtub (a whale of a tub!) which is at an angle he is always trying to move to a sitting up position.

My LO has been sitting for a while now but I haven't moved it down yet. She can't get into sitting position on her own though. I think I'm going to move it down anyways because the other day I noticed her reaching the rails so I think we're on borrowed time.

Aww.... We lowered it to the middle setting when she was pulling up (which happens really quickly after sitting).

However, we did not lower it to the lowest setting soon enough. One morning we heard her flip out! Luckily she was ok, but we had to lower it all the way down after that.

When I dropped off LO at daycare, they told me that they have lowered his crib since he is now sitting unassisted and likes trying to sit up. Right now, our crib is on the highest setting. Should I move to the middle setting? I assume not the lowest setting because he's not pulling up yet. I can't believe we are already at this stage.. he's growing so fast.. slow down!!!
