Thanks everyone! Reading that these quiet lulls are normal for 24/25 weeks has been VERY reassuring. She was kicking up a storm this morning!!! :)

I would have low activity days in that time period, so I do think it's normal. I would keep the appointment for your piece of mind, at least at the moment.

I remember reading that you may not be able to track regular movement every day until 28 weeks, and that 28 - 32 weeks is when you feel the most activity? Not sure where I saw this though so keep that in mind with that information. I will say that since 28 or 29 weeks for me, movement does seem more regular, and I don't get the "days off" that I experienced through the second tri. I'm 31 and a half weeks now.

I had the same concerns at that point in my pregnancy. My midwife said at that point theres still sooo much room for them to move around that they could be kicking at a place you just don't feel it. She also said the same as PP about it being too early to rely on movement every day. HOWEVER! If it makes you feel better keep the appointment. Peace of mind is hard to come by in pregnancy, so by all means go for it. :)

Kicks are all over the place and not consistent until the third trimester. Then they'll have you start monitoring. It slows down again towards the end. I've had a full day where i've been like, "hmm, she's been quiet" and then the next day, she's going nuts.

I haven't gotten to 24 weeks yet (23 weeks today :) but I know I already have days where the baby is kicking like crazy, then the next day I hardly feel anything. However, I voted to go anyway for piece of mind, if it isn't super inconvenient for you. For me, I think a lot of it has to do with wherever the feet (or knees or elbows? I don't know what is jabbing me) are located-- if they are off to the side I feel a lot, but in the middle I feel only the faintest taps (though usually then I feel like something is pushing out of my stomach).

I just went through this yesterday!! She stopped moving much (I felt her like twice a day) for the last several days (up until then she was kicking like crazy) and I was really worried. I went and got checked out and everything was fine; the doctor said it was a combination of her position + her being a lazy baby (lol). Don't worry, but if it will help your peace of mind, of course go get it checked out. It made me feel much better.

*edit to say I'm 25 weeks

I actually googled "Lack of kicking at 24 weeks" because I experienced the same thing, and I saw it was normal. However, I'm not voting in your poll because only you can know how far off normal the lull is. But i had one too!

I think it's pretty normal for there to be lull's in kicking frequency - my LO was a kicker, but I remember there being periods, especially earlier on, when he wasn't kicking as much and it freaked me out.

I say keep the appointment just for peace of mind!

When I went to one of my appointments with the midwife on 3/19, I'd reported feeling no kicks yet (at 22 weeks), but I think that was because I didn't know where I was supposed to feel them. She brought in the u/s machine for my peace of mind, and we saw that she was kicking away happily, and heartbeat/measurements were great. When she pointed out that the baby was really high up - like, under my boobs almost lol -, and that I should focus on the upper right area, that same night I started feeling these magical little kicks. I felt them consistently all through the following week and through this weekend too. Yesterday (Monday) I felt maybe two light sessions. Usually I feel them in the mornings, after eating breakfast or lunch, and after dinner. Yesterday I only felt sporadic random kicks. And this morning maybe light little taps. Is this sudden lull normal? I've read online that maybe it's a growth spurt and that explains the sudden decline. But I wanted to know your thoughts and experiences.

I'd arranged an appointment for two weeks from visit to assess my lack of feeling the kicks (so - this Thursday). She'd wanted me to cancel it if I felt her kicking like crazy. I had been feeling her like crazy up until yesterday, which is freaking me out, so am thinking I should keep appointment? Peace of mind?

Sorry if this is all over the place!!!!
