Why oh why! Their mantra is so big on living healthy and all these positive quotes etc.. The numerous controversies coming from this (and lots of other companies) is really disturbing. Hence, I've started moving towards Lucy. I wouldn't exactly say they look new, but they have outlasted every other pair of pants I've bought since then (including a pair I bought last christmas - the seams have already split and they were not that tight!)<br /> I think the higher ups are full of shit, they use much lower quality fabrics now, and this is the result!<br /> PS - as an aside, I have a plus-sized friend who wears about a 20-22 in real life clothes, but back when LL started she easily fit in to their size 14s and again, they lasted the distance!! I think it was poor choice of words and delivery. I haven't bought any new Lulu pants since the major "see-through" controversy, but I still stand by the Lulu pants I own. </p> <p>The fact is, what he is saying, is true to some degree. All fabrics will start pilling once there is enough friction/abrasion. I used to do fabric testing for my job, and there is a specific test - abrasion testing. Some form of pilling and abrasion is expected eventually for all fabrics. I have some LL pants that have some pilling in between the thighs. But I know better. You are rubbing that area against each other, bikes, etc. all the time. And I don't have "thigh gap" so I wouldn't blame a manufacturer for it. If it happens excessively, or on the first wear, etc... I would be upset and take it back to the store. I've only ever experienced great customer service at LL too. I feel bad they have such bad PR lately. I have an original pair of pants that still look like new, even though they are 10 years old. Unfortunately though, as they got bigger, the quality as definitely dropped, which is sad. The owner of LL was filmed saying that some women's thighs are too big for the pants!<br /> Personally, I think he's not owning up to low quality clothing. If I were to pay that much $$$ for yoga pants, in my size, they shouldn't be see through. It would be one thing if I squeezed into a few sizes than I am, but my regular size should fit me! </p>
