Please don't worry about it! Especially when you have food aversions, eating at all is a huge accomplishment. Your body will deliver the right nutrients to baby, and your prenatal vitamin has good stuff they need, too. People eat WAY worse than what you described and have healthy babies every day! I got so wrapped up in the beginning trying to make sure I was eating everything possibly recommended to pregnant women, and it was so tiring. I eat pretty balanced anyway and just didn't beat myself up when I'd get fast food. I'm 32 weeks and baby is measuring right on track and doing just fine :)

I'm in the same boat (I actually posted a similar question the other day, will try to find the link). Part of my problem is, everything looks gross in the morning, so the thought of packing anything seems gross, but by lunchtime, I usually feel a little better. So far, I don't really have it down, but I figure as long as I'm getting something reasonably healthy, I'm fine.

I don't think your choices sound bad at all, actually. I think I need to stock up on some frozen Amy's since at least they are organic and not chock full of preservatives like some other frozen meals are.

Here is my similar question: http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/best-foods-for-first-trimester-queasiness#post-433451

Your lunches sound pretty good to me! Yes, you should watch what you eat when you're pregnant, but you also have to be reasonable about what you *can* eat. The only thing I would suggest is to keep a few healthy snacks (that you feel like eating) at your desk so that you always have something on hand.

I don't think you should feel guilty and I don't think your lunch choices sound bad! You could bring fresh fruit/veggies for snacks if you feel like you need to add nutrition. I haven't avoided salads at all...honestly I think restaurants or bagged salads are probably just as clean, if not cleaner, than me rinsing off a head of lettuce at home. Eat what is appealing to you! Some food is better than no food/keeping food down is better than eating really healthy and throwing it up.

I think I lived off of grilled cheese and french fries from the cafeteria while I was pregnant.

Typically, I would pack a lot of snacks to have at work.
Morning - Yogurt or cereal or fruit
Snack - String Cheese
Lunch - Whatever
Snack - Fruit or almonds
Dinner - Veggies and I would try to eat the meat my husband would cook.

I really couldn't cook while I was pregnant but sandwiches seemed to work well.

I would avoid fast food salads but from a reputable restaurant its probably not bad (I remember craving ceasar salad and going to get one from Outback).

As soon as I got my first-ever BFP, I had all sorts of visions of preparing beautiful healthy dinners every night, and packing the leftovers for lunch at work the next day. The first week, this was successful. However, I’ve been SO BUSY these past weeks that I haven’t had the chance to do grocery shopping. And I’ve developed food aversions. Cooking also has become a nightmare for me, since I can’t stand the smell of food, or the sight it sizzling, etc. Many of my easy go-to’s are also revolting to me right now, making it a little harder.

So far, I’ve been having the following items for lunches/dinners: Lipton noodle soup (easy on the stomach) with a little milk. PB&J on whole wheat. Amy’s Organic lasagna. Tuna on whole wheat (not more than twice per week). I’ve also been buying lunch out a lot during lunch break at work, and have felt so guilty for doing this. Subway roasted chicken, or roast chicken on a whole wheat wrap from Sebastian’s Catering, or a grilled chicken sandwich no mayo from Wendy’s for example. I keep reading that getting salads from restaurants is iffy, because you don’t know how well they wash the lettuce, etc. Do you abide by this? (I haven’t gotten a salad not due to this “fear” but to my stomach not feeling up to it, however.)

I feel so guilty about buying my lunches almost every day, but I just don’t have the time or energy right now to prepare dinners after evening classes. I get home at 10 on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and this after a full day at work. (Luckily semester is over next week.) My husband is more than happy to cook for me, but food is just not appealing. So I end up just eating random things like I mentioned above, and so have no leftovers for lunch the next day.

I want to be as healthy as possible and provide my growing lima bean nutritious foods. What do you working busy bees buy for lunch during your lunch break? Or , am I the only “lazy” one?
