@yin: @CakeLady: @Andrea: I had seen those but saw bad reviews so I didn't try it. I think I may buy one, though. Thanks!

@winniebee: we bought a Wildkins and I really like it. I think I might keep it for other needs/backup lunchbox. It's really nice!

I use a very basic system because I need to pack my son's water bottle in with his lunch, otherwise it doesn't make it to the cafeteria.

We currently use one of those soft sided zip around bags and I just put the food in there in smaller containers as needed.

We have the large Wildkins lunch boxes (velcro top). It fits: camelback, ice pack, cloth napkin, fork/spoon and the following food: thermos (for hot lunch days) and 3 small tupperwares. My kid likes his food in separate containers. It's usually a combo of: Yogurt, container of fruit, container of crackers, cheese stick, thermos or container w/ sandwich or baggie with leftover pizza, etc.

We also use a PackIt lunch bag and a Yumbox. The bag fits the Yumbox plus an afternoon snack - usually a yogurt and a small Oxo Tot container with almonds or crackers. We just send water in a camelback water bottle at room temp.

The lunch bag goes in his SkipHop backpack and the water bottle fits in the side pocket of the bag. Doesn't leave much room for other stuff, but he's in preschool so he doesn't usually have anything else.

I really like our lunchbox from Lands End. We use reusable containers mostly from sistema. I do not include a thermos. She either has a capri sun water or a small disposable water bottle in her lunch box. She carries a separate water bottle that is used in the classroom every day.

I use the PackIt Freezable lunch bags. It comes it a few different sizes. Currently using this one:

https://www.amazon.com/PackIt-Freezable-Lunch-Closure-Black/dp/B00HJ8DFGC/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1494521498&sr=8-10&keywords=frozen+lunch+bag

It fits the Yumbox and Foogo water bottle. It can be a little tight, but it zips up and stays cold. I've used bigger sizes of the PackIt, and I prefer the regular size I linked above.

What lunchbox does your child use?
Do you put a thermos into the lunchbox?
Do you use a container/bento for your child's food or baggies of food?

I'm trying to find something that can hold both a Yumbox and a thermos and am having very little luck. I can find lunchboxes that can hold one or the other, but not both. I really like a Wildkin one I bought but the thermos won't fit with the Yumbox in there.
