After reading this I think I'm definitely not going to take the risk:
http://forums.haveababy.com/index.php?showtopic=46567&hl=booster

As @raintreebee mentioned it can boost your progesterone, but then as your LH drops after the injection your progesterone can drop. I'd rather find other ways to supplement instead, even if it's inconvenient.

Some doctors do a second HCG shot to boost progesterone (and thus to help implantation). I guess the same theory could apply with a Lupron trigger. As far as the harm goes, I have no idea, but just because something is still an embryo doesn't mean it is invincible. In fact, prior to week 8 is a very crucial time for development. That being said, the lupron is maybe out of your system by the time of implantation.

@Apex: I think it can cause harm to whatever is there...embryo...fetus...whatever. Like my seizure meds can cause all kinds of permanent damage (anencephaly, spina bifida, other neural tube defects) before 6 weeks, and it's category D. Supposedly Lupron can cause miscarriage as well, so I'm leaning towards refusing it.

If technically, there's no fetus yet (a fetus is an unborn human baby more than eight weeks after conception), can it really be that harmful???

I think trusting your instinct is the best call. I'm not sure I understand how a drug that can be harmful to a fetus would be suggested to help with implantation.

As far as I know this is pretty uncommon to do and for good reason! Lupron is a category X drug so I'm really unsure about whether I'd want to take it in the 2ww.

I've never actually heard that before, but i'm no doctor. So, in my own opinion, it wouldn't hurt to try, who knows, it might actually work......

Has anyone ever used Lupron around 7dpo to help with implantation? Y'all already know I go to a crazy RE; today they told me to do a shot of Lupron in a week to help with implantation. I'm afraid to do this, especially knowing that I've gotten pregnant before without it...
