We don't use Luvs, but I feel like the sizing recommendations are just that, recommendations, and it really depends on how they fit your child. My LO is around 19-19.5 lb and she still wears a size 2 with lots of room in the waist. A size 3 is swimming in her and hangs so low.

We left size 3 pretty quickly, they just weren't containing LOs pee. (I didn't use Luvs)

I had to move M up to 4's in all disposables. He's just barely 20 lbs, but his torso is too long for the 3's. 4's fit him perfect right now. I thought it way too early, but I guess not.

LO is 7 months, and 20 lbs, we r still using size 3 luvs but I think the next case I buy will be 4s. The 3s don't always make it overnight anymore...

Ok, interesting. Because it does say that Size 4 starts at 22 lbs and that's surely at least a few months away, so I should stick with the size 3s for now. :) It just seems like she could grow out of them so soon! Like they dont even come up high enough in the back. haha

I use Pampers but had the same thought! DD is 16+ too but size 3 doesn't even feel THAT loose on her so I can't imagine her being in it till 28 lbs! Otherwise the size scales have been more or less true for her!

I don't use Luvs, but I will say that for us, there is usually a period when she is at the bottom of the weight range and the diapers don't fit all that well. It usually corresponds to a growth spurt where she is putting on weight, but hasn't grown taller yet. Once she thins out a bit, though, they tend to fit better again

We moved out of size 3's when she was about 21 pounds. They just couldn't contain her pee anymore and were getting super tight.

So, we only use disposables for nighttime and travel. Sweet P is 16.5 lbs so I just bought a giant box of Luvs size 3 because they say 16-28 lbs on them. However I'm feeling like I can't imagine them lasting that much longer! I'm wondering if maybe I should return the huge box to Amazon and get size 4? If you had a LO and used Luvs how big were they when you stopped using size 3 and moved to size 4?
