My LO actually developed on abscess on her arm when she was 3 weeks old and had to do IV antibiotics too with a 2 night stay in the hospital. They poked it with a needle to aspirate it and then she was on a 10 day course of oral antibiotics. It went away pretty quickly and now looks like it was never there! Don't worry mama. Your LO will be aOK!
