I had a Beaba tray with my first and it was fine but had fewer molds per tray. I freeze in those and then move them to ziplocs to store. I was living abroad, had the tiniest fridge known to mankind, no microwave, no food processor and I was looking for a solution where I didn't have to wash a lot of extra pieces and since we were moving back to the US eventually I didn't want to invest in a lot of appliances, so the Beaba turned out to be a complete lifesaver. I used it so much, I would even steam vegetables for my husband and I in it.</p> <p>I really find it's the best solution if you're going to cook small amounts at every meal. It's great being able to steam and purée in the same container. However, purées are only needed for a short period - we are already starting to phase out at 8.5 months.
