@LindsayInNY: I freeze in the Kiddo Feedo containers. 2 oz each, a lid, and easy to get the food out. I had a Beaba tray with my first and it was fine but had fewer molds per tray. I freeze in those and then move them to ziplocs to store. I use the Squooshi reusable pouches for serving.

We have the beaba babycook, and it works great for small batches and reheating but, when I would make large batches I would use my large steamer and blender. But it is nice for conviniently warming food instead of microwaving it (I don't like using the microwave) I only wished I had bought the larger model that holds more food.

I just boiled or microwaved veggies in a little water until soft and most often used the little food chopper attachment of my immersion blender or my $30 little 4 cup Cuisinart food processor. I didn't really like making huge batches of food at once and bought pouches to mix it up.

I had a Beaba. I was living abroad, had the tiniest fridge known to mankind, no microwave, no food processor and I was looking for a solution where I didn't have to wash a lot of extra pieces and since we were moving back to the US eventually I didn't want to invest in a lot of appliances, so the Beaba turned out to be a complete lifesaver. I used it so much, I would even steam vegetables for my husband and I in it.

I really find it's the best solution if you're going to cook small amounts at every meal. If you're going to cook and then freeze, the Beaba isn't your best option.

I have a double Beaba which is really awesome but I wouldn't have bought it if it had t have been a gift. It's great being able to steam and purée in the same container. However, purées are only needed for a short period - we are already starting to phase out at 8.5 months. So if you have a food processor or immersion blender you could microwave or stove top steam and then blend.

@LindsayInNY: I'm even lazier than @mediagirl: I put it in a glass bowl, add a bit of water (not much at all) and microwave until hot. pour into blender, add a bit more water, then blend. more water will thin it more depending on desired consistency.

I used a Beaba for my first 2. It was convenient! I kind of want to upgrade, but not sure it'll be worth the cost since I could always just use a regular steamer and we do BLW for the most part...
