I'm actually on a macrobid regimen to prevent UTI's (I take one after BD to avoid them)... my doc didn't seem to think it would hurt anything, but I'm a little paranoid!

@sapphire: Thanks! I'm going to call my pcp tomorrow and see if I can take a test. I did take the azo strips a few times over the weekend and they were all negative but a few had trace amounts of white blood cells so the nurse said I should just take it as an extra precaution. So many things to worry about while ttc!

A UTI is probably worse for you than the antibiotic. Macrobid is prescribed in pregnancy so good choice there. You could have your doc take a urine sample to check first before taking it.

Last week I felt like I might be getting a uti (I think from holding it to poas so many time last month!) and today I had a hysteroscopy so my RE prescribed a 3 day script of microbid just in case. I'll be ovulating soon and I know it will most likely be out of my system but I hate the idea of taking any medication while ttc. I've read conflicting info on it's safety in pregnancy and that it can delay ovulation. Has anyone had an experience with it while ttc?
