We had a lot of success with the Merlin suits!! I think they're pretty awesome, one of my two is still in hers at 6.5 months...for $30, it's totally totally worth it! Plus, if your guy is over 12lbs, I don't think it will be that big on him...

I feel you lady. We get some longer stretches on occasion, but we are pretty much where you are at, too. LO doesn't need to eat much to fall back asleep either but I usually encourage her to have a full feeding so she tanks up and sleeps longer. Sadly, I think this is just how it's going to be for a while :( I think we will try to night wean at 3 months though if her weight is still good.

Has anyone had a lot of success with the magic sleep suit? Worth the money?

@hilsy85: we are going to try the nest tonight. He will take a paci. I didn't think of using it instead of feeding! I hate that he needs to feel full to sleep.

Have you tried the nests in the crib? Mrs. Blue did a post on it--you basically put a rolled up towel under the crib sheet in a horseshoe shape to snuggle the baby so he doesn't feel so alone in a bigger space. Does he take a paci? Can you paci him for that middle feeding where he doesn't seem to need to eat?

We had great luck with the magic sleep suit and are still using it at 6 months, although getting ready to drop it. We started using it at 3.5 months - LO is little and it was probably too big but it worked great for us. She would sometimes tuck her legs up like PP said. I would think as long as your LO can't move around in it so much that she could cover her face that it would be OK to use.

I put C in the Magic Sleepsuit just shy of 3 months (and just shy of 12 pounds) The only issue was that she would pull her feet up into the body of the suit because it was a little big, but it never bothered her. We started using it when the swaddle started pissing her off more than helping, but she would spastically flail her arms about if we had nothing on them.

TBH the sleep suit only worked for a few weeks for us, then we ended up transitioning to the halo sleep sack with arms out, so she could reach her hands to her mouth easier. BUT, those few weeks of better sleep were worth the $30+ that it cost. Every minute of sleep helps.

He is on formula, right? Can you SO take one or more of the feedings? Is he falling asleep while he's eating the last bottle before bed? I wonder if you moved the bottle to before the book, if he would stay awake and finish more before getting too drowsy?

Getting no sleep sucks. We love these babies to pieces but but not sleeping just sucks.

LO is 8 weeks old today. I know that is still so little but I am so tired. I go back to work Wednesday and can't function on such little sleep. This is where we are at:

-He has a flat spot so we were told to get him out of the RnP ASAP so we have started the transition to PnP/Crib, He LOVED his RnP. We have done PnP for 3 nights (each night getting worse).
-He is sooo spastic still. Those arms and legs are killer.
-He hates being swaddled. We use Halo Swaddle Sleep sacks and have started swaddling arms in against his wishes
-He only goes 3 hours between feedings at night
-We have a strict bedtime routine. Bath, Book, Bottle, Bed starting at 8. He is typically down by 8:30-9:00. However, his legs wake him up a lot.
-He wakes up at 12, 3, 6 to eat. At 12 he eats 3-5oz, at 3 he eats 1-2oz REALLY? WHY AM I UP FOR 1-2OZ!? and at 6 he eats 3-5oz.
-He eats every 2.5-3 hours during the day and is taking down between 3-5oz.

I'm at a loss. I'm looking for anyway to get more sleep. Even 4 hours between feedings would be awesome.

At this point I'm thinking of ordering the Magic Sleepsuit. He's not 3 months, does he really need to be that old? He weights over 12 pounds.
