Yesterday I had a long day at work and came out to snow on the ground. By the time I got home, it was starting to get dark, but I decided to let my son play in the snow for a few minutes since it was the first time he's seen it this year and he was such a baby last year, he couldn't play in it. He kicked at it and ran his hands through it and then just belly flopped into it and rolled around! He had so much fun. Only lasted about 15 minutes because he got wet and it got dark, but he really had fun.

I guess New Year's Eve - we were at my parents' and both kids were up past midnight with no meltdowns. I tried to put them to bed several times but they weren't having it. Of course the next few days were rough because DD got right back to her regular schedule of waking up at dawn, but DS was sleeping in and going to bed late, so I had to feed them on different schedules and barely got any sleep :bummed:

Now I know how late they can stay up when no one's making them go to bed. I don't know how they do it!

@travellingbee: yay!! Sort of cheesy but I think we had some magical moments during our trip to Disney for dd's birthday. It was a weekend trip- we live nearby. I remember her dancing around the hotel room watching fireworks out the window in her rapunzel dress...so excited and so sweet. I love when these moments happen!!

I took my 4 yr old and 10 mo old to Target and some other stores yesterday and I got the baby into the stroller without a fuss (which unfortunately isn't the norm). He was a perfect angel the whole time - until I tried to get him back in the car seat. That's where the magic died

@FaithFertility: I've also successfully done it with the big girl in the big part of the cart and the little one in the seat- can't get too many groceries but at least the big one can't wander off. But I don't think that's the safest. Won't lie- we mostly do grocery delivery or now I go while the older one is in preschool.

We went to the grocery store (me, baby in the cart, 3 yo walking) and I didn't want to claw my hair out at all. So that's a big deal these days! But not quite magical...

Last night was a rare wonderful evening. My youngest turned one and we went out for pizza and frozen yogurt with him and our almost 4 year old. By some miracle, everyone was happy and calm and well behaved THE ENTIRE TIME. This never happens. Normally one of them falls apart if we attempt to go out for dinner. It was so wonderful and my heart felt so full. It felt magical. Have you had a magical moment where things have actually gone as planned or even better?
