Alright ladies I made it through - I took saltines with me and bought a big thing of Sprite. I kept saying to myself "don't puke" the whole time, which I shouldn't have because I didn't enjoy myself as much, and I forgot how loud the games are and came home with a killer headache (that I still have this morning) but DH had a good time.

Does he have friends that could go? I was really sick when pregnant with my daughter and tried to push through it when we got box seats to a basketball game. It was miserable. I thew up the whole way there and felt terrible the whole time. Wasn't worth it! Hopefully you'll feel better soon, and can go out then.

@babycanuck: Lemon really helped me for some reason. But only small candy, big sweets made me gag

Yes I did! For the first time in months haha. We moved and I hadnt seen these friends in over a year so I wanted to look presentable. Getting ready took some effort but once I was out I felt good and actually ate some dinner without feeling sick!

So sorry you're dealing w this. I had no sickness with my first and this time around ----ugh. So hard.

@charlotte: Did you get all dolled up? I hardly wore makeup before pregnancy and I feel like I should really try hard to look nice for DH since I've been such a hormonal wackjob

I think you are sicker than I was but I found that getting ready and having a night out made me feel less sick on its own. (Had to meet out of town friends for a late dinner we had previously agreed to). And I brought a big bag of saltines and a little tube of lavender lotion that I liked to smell in case any weird other smells came around.

I was not even as sick as you describe you are and I could not have done it. When I was sick it was survival only. Work and home, that was it. No outings. My husband definitely would not have been upset with me for not going! We put everything on hold during that time! I felt like I suffered enough getting through work everyday, I was not going to make myself suffer further by getting through another difficult event unless absolutely necessary. So, I would not go. Hope you feel better soon.

Do icy cold drinks help at all. If so I would buy yourself a big one to sip through the game. Maybe some kind of sour or lemon candies to suck on? I found that small ones could stop me gagging if I super hard.

I was admitted to the hospital after trying 3 kinds of meds that didn't help. Finally found zofran and reglan helped me.

A friend of mine said that adrenaline kicks in if needed, and you probably won;t feel as sick as usual. That said, you will still feel sick, and just be prepared with snacks and some mouth rinse if you have to throw up. Stay hydrated! Good luck tonight!

Oh no! I'm sorry your nausea has been so bad! Honestly, I don't know if I could have done it. Take lots of snacks, ginger ale, things to settle your stomach. Hopefully you're close to an aisle so you can get out and go to the washroom if needed.

Yikes, I would not have been able to sit through something like that with pregnancy sickness, I was miserable. I'd suggest just bringing some club soda or whatever beverage helps you the most and some bland foods like crackers. Raw, plain almonds helped me so much at work. I would eat like 2 every 5-10 min and it would give my stomach enough to not feel too sick and also my body enough energy to keep trucking along. I would be worried about all the smells at a hockey game though.

Ok here's the deal.

Hubby got hockey tickets for tonight - I love going to the games but I need to get through this evening a) by staying awake and b) by not puking my guts out.

How the F do I do it?!

This morning I was able to have some breakfast potatoes, a small glass of milk, and have since had some water and a pediapop. Last night I was sick 4 times :( I really really don't want to give up my seat because hubby, although has been super grumpy with me, wanted a night out with me.
