I like the toy rotation idea and have heard several people say that they do that. LO really doesn't have a lot of toys so I just have them all out. Plus she has a play room so everything can just stay in there and it doesn't mess up the rest of the house.

I put toys in toy chests in her closet. She still can't get to them so I scatter different toys on the floor every day. We have a pretty low bookshelf for her books so eventually she'll be able to pick them out herself. Her stuffed animals sit on her pottery barn chair. Soon I want to change that though so she can sit there.

When your lo comes you'll try different set ups until you figure out what's best for you. And then you still have to change things as they get bigger, like now lo will be able to climb on furniture so I want to give her access to her chair. Before it was a great stuffed animal storage.

We have a lot of stuff for our LO already. Toys, books, clothes, stuffed animals. My question is, how do you manage it all? Do you put everything out on the bookshelf or in the toy chest and let them go to it or do you hold some items back for later when they're bored with what they have? I know infants don't care but as they get older and do play with stuff, how do you manage everything?
