I find the suction is way more powerful and tolerable with the manual, though that probably means it's not great for long-term use ;) I almost never have to do compressions when using the manual, but I have to constantly massage with the electric. I have never used a manual pump, only my double electric. I've been pumping at work 2-3x a day for about 3 months now. </p>
