Sorry this is typed out a bit like a telegraph - trying to get it written down and out there between naps :)

Name or initial (if you want to share): Nora
Sex: Little lady!
Due date: 3/27
Birth date: 3/29
Length: 23.5"
Weight: 10 lb. 9 oz.

Birth story:
I started feeling some light contractions/cramping on Friday 3/28. They got stronger and by 1:00 that night they were strong enough that we figured we'd be going in by Saturday morning so we got the house and car ready to go. We called the hospital around 4:00 am and they told us to head in when it got just a bit more intense. We live an hour away so we didn't want to wait too long. After a shower things kind of petered out a bit and I was able to sleep for an hour or so.

They picked up again that morning and by 1:00 we felt confident enough to head in. I should mention that my contractions were very close together from the beginning a never really got to the 5-1-1 stage, they were at 3-4 minutes most of early labor. We got checked in and I was at 4cm. I thought I was farther along so I was slightly disappointed, but was happy to have made some progress! Once we checked in I think my body relaxed because contractions got much stronger and DH and I did a lot of swaying to get through them (he was a great coach!!). They were about two minutes apart and kept increasing until around 6:00pm when we called my mom to come in. She showed up at 6:30 to give DH a break to grab dinner and while he was out my water broke. He got back right after it happened and was sad to have missed it - he really wanted to see it break lol. That made things much more intense immediately and I labored a bit leaning over the bed at the nurses suggestion, but it hurt too bad. (that whole leaning/all fours pose never worked for me the entire labor even though I went in thinking it looked so relieving!). After just a few contractions like that I felt a lot of pressure from the baby so they had me sit on the bed and it felt sooo much better! After labor ing in that position for about 20 minutes I could feel more and more pressure so they had me doing some breathing to finish dilating and give the doc time to get scrubbed in for pushing! Random note: I remember the beautiful view of the sunset while we were in this phase :) 40 minutes of pushing later my beautiful baby girl and her full head of hair were here! I still can't believe it! We really had no idea she would be so big (doctor said tall women hide big babies well!). I really credit DH for being such a rock for me during the entire thing. He kept me super calm when I was doubting myself. I also can't believe everything happened so fast once we got to the hospital! Time really did fly by that day.

Mommy life so far?
Overall it's great! I'm exhausted and we're having some breast feeding issues that we're working on with our lactation consultant, but I really do love being her mommy. I can't believe how much she's changed in just a few days - I'm so excited to have the privilege of watching her grow and learn <3

Name or initial (if you want to share): Everitt Liam
Sex: Team Blue
Due date: 3/14 (u/s)-3/17 (my date)
Birth date: 3/14 9:58pm
Length:21"
Weight:7lbs 4oz
Birth story?:
I'm going to write a more detailed one later on, but the basics: Got the ok for induction on Wednesday 3/12, but it got put on hold due to computer updates and labor and delivery being packed that week. We had our anniversary on the 13th, and by the 14th I was sick and crying all day feeling like he would never come. By the afternoon my headache wouldn't go away and E stopped moving so we went in to triage to get him checked around 3pm. My BP was really high (~150/100) and 5 1/2 cm so they admitted me. While we were waiting for a room my labor started and I got an epidural once I got to the room. Hung out for another couple of hours and watched a lot of basketball, they broke my water and adjusted the bed so I could sit up more instead of laying down, and within about 15 minutes I really needed to push. They called in the doctor and I pushed through 4 contractions (15 min) and he was out before 10pm!
How's mommy life so far?:
Loving it so far, trying to savor every minute and snuggle him like crazy- things I feel like I missed with my first due to NICU time and just being an exhausted zombie. Recovery has been really good so far, I definitely felt more beat up last time and had way more stitches. Nursing has been going really well with just some minor soreness, he definitely goes through ravenous times of the day where he can't get enough. After 1 week he is almost back to his birth weight and sleeping for some decent stretches at night. Our biggest challenge right now is adjusting big brother to all of the changes, he's having a rough time with a lot of melt downs and hurt feelings.

@MrsRcCar: congrats again on little E. I'm so happy he's home and everything is going well. Yes, gotta love our blonde beauties!

@fussygal: thanks! I'm waiting for your post on this thread!

@lemondrop: aww thanks, you will have to post a pic of your 2 together! Yeah her head was bruised (and she had a shiner) from me pushing her into my pelvic bone. Luckily my Dr has small hands! No jaundice, thank goodness - I hope you avoid it too!

@anonysquire: Can I just say how cute! I was a little jealous because I don't follow you on instagram so I had to wait and wait to see these photos. I am happy that you got the birth that you were planning. Enjoy her!

I can't wait to see more arrivals! This is so exciting. I think the next one to post will be @Bao: even though she already posted an independent thread about it!

How's mommy life so far?: Incredible. Just the best thing I ever could have imagined. I love just staring and kissing and touching my perfect little baby. I am so fortunate to have had an easy pregnancy and an easy birth and I cant wait to do it again 100 times over. Again I just really cant stop with the kisses.

Oh and I keep bawling like a huge fat baby thinking about going back to work. I feel horrible about that. Other than that, everything is great.

Name or initial (if you want to share): Leah Elizabeth Jean
Sex: Girl!
Due date: March 1
Birth date: March 4
Length: 19.75"
Weight: 6 lbs 11 oz
Birth story?: copied from my earlier post:
10am membrane sweep at 40 weeks+2
12-5pm very sporadic non painful contractions while I'm staying busy cleaning house and doing laundry.
5-8pm contraction are still sporadic but have become real with tolerable but painful peaks. I make a pot of chili, make sure everything is ready in the hospital bag and put J to bed.
9pm rest in bed - contractions are pretty consistent at 7-8 mins. Get DH to call his parents to get ready to come watch J.
11pm - contractions are 6 mins -leave for the hospital
11:30pm - arrive at hospital/check in
Midnight - first check in triage - I'm 8 cm! My dr did it as she had 2 others laboring They are arranging my room. Water is still intact and I make it know I want an epidural. I say I need it because of my last birth experience. They say they will do their best to get me one.
12:30am get in my room, meet my nurse. Explain again I want an epi and not another type of pain management. Contractions are very painful now. My dr says she could break my water and baby would be here soon but then I wouldn't be eligible for the epi. I decline and say I want pain meds.
1:30am anesthesiologist arrives, sweet relief!
2am check 9 cm - water is broken
3am check 10 cm - contractions are inconsistent but between 3-6 mins apart. Push a little with my nurse.
4am - dr comes in. Baby is stuck behind my pelvic bone (this happened with J too) so my dr sticks her hand up there and turns baby's head just enough for her to slide under. She is born 3 contractions later at 4:14am. She's perfect.
How's mommy life so far?: I'm adjusting to having 2 under 2 - learning how to split my attention and energy. Leah is a pretty chill baby compared to her brother and we have our fingers crossed she stays that way!

Name or initial (if you want to share): Elliot Cole
Sex: Boy
Due date: 03/14/2014
Birth date: 02/11/2014
Length: 19.25 Inches
Weight: 6lbs 4 ounces
Birth story?: The weekend before I had E, I worked a home and health expo. I spent most of the weekend feeling pretty uncomfortable but I figured it was because I was nearing the end of pregnancy. Monday morning I woke up feeling terrible but I figured I had just over did it over the weekend. I stayed home from work and rested on the couch drinking water all day. My back was killing me the whole time and I had some light cramping. My mum had suggested that I call the doctor, which I declined because I was sure just dehydrated. As the day went on I still felt awful so I called the doctor. The nurses line suggested I drink more water and see how I felt. After an hour I still felt the same so I called back and they had me come in.
When I went in to get checked out I was already 3-4 cm dilated. My doctor sent me to L&D to be observed. Once I arrived to L&D I was 5 cm dilated. While in L&D they tried to stop my labor with some medicine. (It clearly didn't work). Around 12:30 am they decided that we were really having the baby. From the beginning I had decided that I wanted an epidural so they called the doctor to get that going. Once the epidural was in place I got some rest. When I woke back up I felt pressure in my bottom and they checked me to see where I was and I was ready to push. The doctor was delivering another baby at the other hospital in town but I was able to labor down some with the nurses before my doctor arrived. When my doctor arrived I started to push and about 30 minutes later Little E was born at 35 weeks 4 days. He was not breathing well and was instantly taken off to special care. He was in the hospital for 14 days before he was healthy enough to come home.
How's mommy life so far?: The first two weeks of mommy life with two children was hard because E was in the hospital. Once he came home it has been an adjustment but I am enjoying every minute of it. :)

Here is on of the hospital photos of E.

Name or initial (if you want to share): Baby A.

Sex: She's a little princess!

Due date: 3.5.14

Birth date: 2.20.14

Length: 19.5 inches

Weight: 6lb 14 oz

Birth story?: Short version - had a trickle of fluid at 12:45 AM, wasn't convinced it was my water breaking. 30 minutes later contractions started. They never got consistent though, ranged 4-12 minutes apart lasting 30-90 seconds. Went to the hospital at 10 AM per doctor's orders. Was 4cm, 100% effaced. Got my epidural asap (heavenly!) and 7.5 hours later baby girl arrived after 1.5 hours of pushing.

How's mommy life so far?: So far it's going really well! Baby eats and sleeps like a champ. She sleeps 3.5-4.5 stretches at a time and only cries when she's hungry. She's been super easy and laid back. Will just lay in her crib chilling if she isn't sleeping. Had some baby blues in the first 2 weeks and was missing our old life of just DH and I at times, but every day gets better especially now that her due date has passed. I was feeling pretty sad about not being pregnant anymore since she came unexpectedly early and I didn't have time to really prepare for the end of pregnancy.
