I looked it up a while ago too and it looks like the pressure points of concern are in your feet/ankles and hands/wrists so I think you should be fine.

Don't worry too much! I didn't know about the ankle thing and got TWO pedicures where they massaged my ankles (at 5 weeks and at 8 weeks) and nothing bad happened after those incidents. My doctor wasn't even concerned about it, but I definitely FREAKED out that I was going to have a miscarriage after the 8 week pedicure.

You're fine. The reflexology points that are suppose to be able to induce labor are located in the feet, not the neck/head, and plenty of sites for certified massage therapy providers say it's an old wives tale anyway that massage poses a risk first trimester.

I never heard this. Why can't you have a massage? I had a full massage at about 8 weeks.

I went to get my hair cut around 7 weeks or so and they massaged my neck and shoulders. I was a bit nervous afterwards but everything seemed fine. I agree to ask your doctor though if you're really unsure.

I'm sure you're fine. If you're super worried you could call the doctor tomorrow and I'm sure they'll say it's fine.

No worries! Just drink lots of fluids so you don't get dehydrated. Plus, it was just a neck/back massage not a full hour or more massage. Honestly, I have never had that you shouldn't have massages in the first tri.

I'm 8w3d. I just got a pedicure (everything says that's ok in the first trimester). But afterwards, while my toes where under the dryer, they offered a massage. I was already so relaxed and kind of zoned out that I said yes. It was only right when he finished up that I realized you're not supposed to have a massage during the first trimester. It was only a neck/shoulder massage. Am I ok, or did I just put the baby at risk? I can't believe it didn't occur to me to say no, like, at all. I feel sick just thinking about it....
