@highwire: I was so worried, googling and asking everyone - I think I even started a thread here! But at her 4-m well visit recently I asked the ped, and she said if she seems relatively content as far as her belly (no super straining, screaming etc) and they aren't green/frothy/straight liquid diarrhea (lovely..) that it's normal. just gross looking. lol.

agree with @prettylizy, how many weeks is C now? when my LO was about 3 months I think, she started with the stringy/mucousy diapers once in awhile, then every diaper for a few weeks. It's settled by now (4 months) and was from her starting to swallow loads of drool.

LO had a really watery stringy poop when she was drooling a lot and swallowing the drool. It settled after a day or two. Good luck!!

@chopsuey119: thanks! I'm not on any antibiotics either, so that isn't causing the diarrhea

I came down with mastitis on Friday and spent all weekend applying heat, resting, and nursing around the clock. I'm feeling a lit better now.

But starting yesterday, LO (who only poops 1-2x a day) had 4 dirty diapers in a row yesterday afternoon and the last one was completely watery and stringy. She had one more watery one this morning.

Waiting on a call back from the pedi now. Think this is just related to the mastitis? LO is acting normally otherwise.
