@evenstar982: I bought a couple of new bras at 9 weeks because already I could only wear looser sports bras. I was hesitant since I thought they would keep growing but I was also sick of sports bras. So far, at 14 weeks, I haven't needed new ones yet so I'm glad I just got those two. I anticipate needing new ones again though.
I'm not sure I want to go to no-underwire or stretch route for a while-- if the rest of my body is going nuts, I want my boobs at least to look great. I've always wanted bigger ones, and now I have them, they should look good!

I bought bra extenders and the Spanx bra for my last pregnancy! My boobs shrunk for this pregnancy. :-(

Ooh, I'm glad to hear about bra extenders, I didn't know those were out there!

I bought a couple bras early in my pregnancy out of need because my bra's did not fit. I bought more after my milk came in. I am hoping to get back into my Pre-pregnancy bras.

I bought a bigger regular bra at 10 weeks or so, and at 17 it still fits well. I've got gigantic boobs so I'm not sure how I'm going to survive without underwire if it's starts to bother me!

At first I bought a couple bras in a bigger size, but then when I outgrew those I bought genie bras. They are so comfy, although not much in the support department, but now at 31 weeks I care more about comfort. I guess the next step for me will be nursing bras.

I just got regular bras during pregnancy and was glad I did, because once LO was born and I had to wear nursing bras I missed them!

I went from a 36C to a 38D during pregnancy and made the mistake of buying multiple new bras every time my old ones got tight, thinking, I can't possibly get any bigger! Then after LO was born I went down a band and up a cup so I am now a 36DD, but at 9 weeks pregnant my bras are already getting too small!

So this time around I just bought some bra extenders and once my real bras stop fitting, I will just wear my nursing bras. I really like the Carriwell bras (they are on sale on cotton babies right now). They are decently supportive, well made, and have some stretch so they will fit the whole pregnancy plus nursing.

@scg00387: I think that's a good idea, I'm guessing I should have gone up a cup size too. I'll have to keep the extenders in mind!

@Pepper: I bought a bigger size (both cup & band) and then in my third trimester ended up buying bra hook extenders (can get at a fabric store or on Amazon). I slept in stretchy sports bras that were a size bigger.

@evenstar982: I didn't! That only added to my discomfort! I didn't want to buy bras during pregnancy because everyone said wait til I delivered and after my milk came in! I stuck with sports bras most of my pregnancy, or shelf tanks, even though they offered little to no support everything else just dug into my ribs. I got a couple spandex type tanks from motherhood that had built in cups, those were awesome.
But I probably started to notice a drastic change about halfway through and for sure by third trimester there was no way I could for in my old bras. I was huge.

Urgh I'm scared too because I wore a 32 D... Bought a 34 D in a regular bra today from Target and it's still not big enough! Dumb on my part, guess I should have tried on... So difficult when I don't know what's going to happen in the future!

oh boy this thread scares me... I am only 9 weeks and I just went out and purchased a bigger bra today because I already feel like mine are too tight!
@Mrs. Pen: If you went D-G how soon (if you don't mind my asking) did you start to switch sizes?!

Come third trimester, underwire HURTS. I ended up having to wear shelf tank tops because I couldn't wear my regular bras. I would invest in a few bras that might grow with you (I went from a D to a G throughout my pregnancy!) and is VERY comfortable!

I prefer softer bras while pregnant. I've been basically living in the coobie bras, although they are starting to get a bit small

So I don't fit comfortably in my old bras anymore (I'm 18 weeks pregnant). Way too tight! Is it better to buy a maternity bra at this point, or just buy a regular bra in a larger size? What did/will you do?
