I wore nursing bras the last couple months cause the underwire was killing me.

I would not get any nice bras now, as your size will fluctuate a ton once your milk supply comes in and regulates. I would try to just get some cheap bras to tide you over!

@photojane: this is also very very true!

I'd wait. My boobs have been all over the place. Plus, we weren't able to breastfeed, so I'd have no need for a nursing bra now. You have no idea how that BFing journey will go! I bought one nursing sports bra during pregnancy. I wore it during labor/delivery, and I still wear it now since it's just a sports bra.

I went up a couple band sizes during pregnancy, and a full cup. Then, went up another cup while BF. Now, at 1 year, I am back to my band size, but nearly 3 cup sizes bigger! Just be open to buying more if you need to :)

I just bought two bras that are labelled as maternity/nursing. I don't know if there's anything different about the fact that they're a combo, but they're similar to a sports bra, with the cups that fold/snap down.

Not sure how they'll work out once baby is here...but they're awesome now! (And were also only about 20$)

I'd wait on the nursing bras and get some cheap bras to wear now. I bought new bras 3 times during pregnancy because they kept growing and they were even bigger after I had the baby. Now they're going in reverse, so I've been able to use some of the smaller ones.

I'd wait- my cup and band size were all over the place after I gave birth and finally settled at four months postpartum. Buy normal bras now tanks for the start and nice nursing bras once you've evened out.

I'd get the nursing bras now. But maybe the stretchy kinds, not the sized-cups kind, if that makes sense? Everyone said you won't know what your true cup size will be, but I didn't get too much bigger. Maybe 1/2-1 cup size?

So - at 6 mos preggo my bra's are finally not doing the job. I was fairly gifted in the chest department (34-36C/D) pre preg so I know I am likely going to end up in a F or G while nursing. There is a store near my house having a big sale on nursing Bra's (Medela seamless softcup and underwire nursing bra's) both $24/each. I am thinking when I invest in new bra's now I might as well invest in nursing Bra's. Is there any reason I shouldnt do this? Is there anything about a nursing bra that would prohibit me from using them now?

Thanks for any input you may have!
