I think it also depends how you gain weight. I gained a ton in my booty/thighs, so I had to size up in a lot of stuff.

I wear the same size at gap, but some LL for target stuff I slightly big. Where I'd be an XL normally, the XL runs a little big and the L a little small. Same for pants. 18s won't stay up but 16s are a little tight. I think the panels are weaker than at motherhood

I find Old Navy sizing to be very inconsistent- both in regular and maternity. So yes, some things were huge, and some were regular size. Really annoying. I thought Gap for pretty similar to their regular sizes. I only had a few Target things and I thought they were pretty similar to regular sizes there.

I did like that since maternity is so stretchy, you have more wiggle room on the sizing, where regular non stretchy things it's more noticeable when something is too big or small.

Motherhood does seem to run tts.

It really differs across brands! But I would say if a brand ran a certain way for you pre pregnancy then likely their maternity sizes run the same. Old navy is big on me and all target are huge on me!

I found the opposite of @Rainbow Sprinkles:. I can only speak for tops though. I wear a L to XL normally (depending on the shirt) and wore the same in Old Navy maternity but an XXL Target top was stupidly too small.

ETA: I also found Motherhood Maternity ran pretty TTS for me.

I think Old Navy runs huge. Liz Lange ia TTS in my opinion. I am a true medium pre pregnancy (size 8/29) and am a medium at Target but generally a small at Old Navy, especially in dresses and blouses.

What brands do you think run true to size?

As in, you wear an 8 prepregnancy, and you wear an 8 in their maternity styles?

I'm specifically curious what you all think of Liz Lange and Old Navy.
